The frigate birds go flying
In a line at the end of the day
And out past the horizon
The sun dies unquenched beneath the waves
I've been on this beach too long
Let the surf drown out my song
And I've just heard the beach bar
Sound last call
I hear the curlews crying
In the air at the top of Shining Tor
The ceaseless winds are taking
All my worries away once more
I could sit up here forever
Watch the light as it changes the hills
But I'm still out here walking
In the sun
I got friends with their own share of meltdown
Do what I can to help them stay on the ground
Pour the wine while we count all the stars in the sky
Now I'm back in my garden
It's not perfect but it's my own
It needs my attention
Gonna stay here until it's all done
I'll cease all my roaming
Keep the memories of all I've seen
Rest a while in the moment
And I'm home
In a line at the end of the day
And out past the horizon
The sun dies unquenched beneath the waves
I've been on this beach too long
Let the surf drown out my song
And I've just heard the beach bar
Sound last call
I hear the curlews crying
In the air at the top of Shining Tor
